Nguna says he has never left the Wiper Patriotic Front, but is working with the current government to ensure his constituents benefit from development projects.

He highlighted the expected completion of the KSh3.8 billion Kwa Siku–Mbondoni Road by the end of the year, as well as the ongoing construction of markets, expansion of electricity connectivity, establishment of sports academies and improved access to water.

“I didn't betray the opposition, and betrayal cannot be defined by going to work for my people. I am ready to be called a betrayer, but residents must get good roads and development projects in return,” Nguna said.

Nguna pleaded with other party leaders to allow leaders elected under their parties to work closely with the government of the day and the President in order to serve Kenyans better.

On the proposed construction of the KSh32 billion Karura Mega Dam, Nguna said the project is expected to commence in 2028/2029 after compensation is paid to residents who will be affected.

“Karura Mega Dam will begin after residents agree and are given full compensation for their property. We are in the process of listing all the people who will be affected,” he said.

Nguna praised President William Ruto for listening to the people's requests and demands and responding swiftly.

He dismissed claims that government projects are being implemented to lure voters ahead of President William Ruto's re-election bid, insisting that development projects should benefit residents regardless of their political affiliations.
