Speaking at Kakumini sub-location in Matuu, Yatta, Mulwa called for unity and collaboration among residents, saying sustainable development can only be achieved when leaders and citizens work together towards a common goal.

"We must come together and collaborate for the prosperity and development of Yatta. Transformation cannot be achieved by one person; it requires the collective effort of the people and their leaders."

Mulwa challenged Yatta residents to carefully consider the leaders they elect, urging them to prioritize vision, service and tangible development rather than short term political promises.

"Let us elect leaders who have a vision for our people and, most importantly, leaders who are willing to serve. Leadership is about transforming people's lives."

The aspiring MP also placed youth employment and economic empowerment at the centre of his proposed development agenda, particularly for young people living in rural areas.

He advocated for the formation and strengthening of SACCOs and cooperatives, saying organized groups can help young people pool resources, access opportunities and build sustainable sources of income.

"Our young people must organize themselves in large numbers through SACCOs and cooperatives. When people come together, they have a stronger voice and greater capacity to create wealth and push for development."

Mulwa said empowering rural youth through organized economic groups would help create jobs locally and reduce dependence on limited formal employment opportunities.

He further called on residents to embrace collective action, saying Yatta's transformation requires an active partnership between elected leaders and the people.
